Lydia Kim, L.Ac., DOM

Lydia Kim L.Ac. graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science. She is a NYS licensed Acupuncturist, a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine, and a Board Certified Herbalist. Her origin is Korea and she understands and values Traditional Oriental Medicine from her root. She is also a NYS Licensed Esthetician. She graduated from Christine Valmy International Beauty School.

Lydia Kim L.Ac. is a passionate acupuncturist deeply committed to the well-being of each of her patients. She specializes in musculoskeletal pain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, infertility and premature skin aging.

Her background, origin and extensive study and training demonstrate her respect for the philosophy of Traditional Medicine and her profound belief in the body’s natural healing power.

Lydia Kim also worked as a Medical Esthetician for many years prior to her acupuncture career, and has extensive knowledge of the western modalities for skin rejuvenation. In her experience she found that Western modalities had certain limits to their benefits that Oriental Medicine is able to supplement for more extensive benefits. Lydia believes that our skin is the “Window” of our body. Skin conditions rely on our body’s internal condition and we must treat the internal system in order to maintain healthy beautiful skin. Lydia Kim completed and is certified in Facial Acupuncture Rejuvenation course by Pacific College of Health and Science. She customizes the treatment to help each patient “Age Gracefully” by using both Western and Eastern methods of treatment.

In addition, she is trained and skilled in Japanese style gentle needle technique, Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), moxa (a warming technique), gua sha (a myofacial form of release), cupping, electric stimulation (ESTIM), Herbal topical product use, Certified Micro-Needling pen, professional esthetic machines, and lymphatic drainage massage.

Lydia uses her expertise in all of the fields she is trained and proficient in to provide the absolute best treatment for each of her patients. In addition to her skills, she also devotes her energy, passion and love of Oriental Medicine into every treatment she gives, which has earned her such a strong following amongst her patients.
